Northern Italy Bike Tours

From the Lake Como to the Incredible Dolomite mountains

This tour is more than just a cycling trip. It’s an exciting and unique adventure that takes us from the exclusive Lake Como to the Incredible Dolomite mountains, a Unesco Heritage Site

This is our easiest tour. We ride for five days only on peaceful cycling paths, far from any roads. Our only task is to enjoy the beautiful scenery we cycle through, getting in touch with an ancient environment and culture.

Lake Como welcomes us on the first day, and from the second day we start our journey of amazing discoveries, right up to the last ride in the heart of the Dolomites.

To provide the best food and wine experience, all the accommodation has been inspected and chosen personally by our staff and, together with the excellent dinners based on local products, complement our bike tour.

Our guides will be always beside you in order to provide the best cycling vacation.

Itinerary

Day by day

Day 1: Meeting in Milan and transfer to Lake Como

Welcome from the staff, presentation of the bike tour, welcome drink, dinner. Overnight at Lake Como.

Day 2: Lake Como - Sondrio

  • Distance: 41 km26 mi
  • Elevation: 120 m394 ft

Our extraordinary adventure is starting today. We’ll spend our first two days in the famous Valtellina. This valley, in 2026, will host the Winter Olympic games and is also famous for its food and wine products, above all its DOCG wines made from Nebbiolo grapes (Sforzato, Valtellina Superiore, Sassella, Grumello, Inferno, Valgella and Maroggia).

Accompany your Valtellina wine with other specialties: Bitto DOP and Valtellina Casera DOP, cheese from the mountain pastures, Valtellina Bresaola (cured beef) and PGI apples, buckwheat pizzoccheri and much more! This stage is practically flat, the best warm-up for the next days.

Overnight in Sondrio.

Day 3: Sondrio - Bormio

  • Distance: 70 km43 mi
  • Elevation: 120 m3200 ft

After an energetic breakfast, we are ready to deal with the more demanding stage of the week. Continuing along the cycling path “Sentiero Valtellina”, today we’ll change environment, from the middle valley to the high valley, from a landscape full of vineyards to high mountains. Day by day our cycling vacation is getting more and more interesting.

Despite the difference in altitude, the daily ride is not so difficult, the ascent is easy and constant, and getting to Bormio will be straightforward! An acclaimed and famous local restaurant is waiting for us with its typical mountain dishes.

Overnight in Bormio.

Day 4: Passo Resia - Coldrano

  • Distance: 54 km33 mi
  • Elevation: 220 m721 ft

Today we’ll start with a van transfer, driving up the epic and famous Stelvio Pass. A stop at the top is a must.
At the top of the pass, you can admire some of the most impressive glaciers of the Central Alps.

After this stop, we keep on driving on this spectacular road that takes us to the Resia Pass where our cycling day will start. We have changed region and are now in Trentino Alto Adige, a bilingual area where the inhabitants speak German and Italian. We’ll ride in the Venosta Valley, surrounded by the thousands of apple trees for which the area is well-known all over Europe.

Our first stop will be Lake Resia, an iconic mountain lake famous all over the world for its church tower partially submerged by water. There are several stories and legends around this historical event and the steeple – it is said that sometimes you can hear the bells ring from the depths of the lake.

To close this memorable day, a new kind of cuisine will be an extra special experience in this unique cycling vacation.

Overnight in Coldrano.

Day 5: Coldrano - Bolzano

  • Distance: 63km km39mi mi
  • Elevation: 60m m196 ft

The last day in the beautiful Val Venosta will be a long and amusing descent to Bolzano, the capital of the province.
Still surrounded by apple trees, we’ll ride alongside the Adige, one of the most important Italian rivers. This cycling path is one of the very best of its kind, from the perfect tarmac surface to rest areas, and other cycling facilities.

A break at the Forst Beer Museum and restaurant is essential. Here we can taste this famous beer at its production site, accompanied by typical local food!

The last destination of the day is the city of Bolzano with an amazing historical city center where we’ll spend the evening in one of its many restaurants.

Overnight in Bolzano.

Day 6: Dolomites, Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa

  • Distance: 47 km29 mi
  • Elevation: 830 m2700 ft

The last cycling day has come, but today is “The Day”.
We are in one of the most beautiful and impressive areas in Europe; we are in the heart of the Dolomites.
On June 26th, 2009, the Dolomites were added to the Unesco World Heritage List for the beauty and uniqueness of their landscape and their geological and geomorphological importance.

There is no better way to visit this area than riding our bikes on the Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa cycling paths. This cycle track offers unforgettable landscapes but also a lot of cycling facilities such as rest areas, bars, and restaurants where we’ll have our lunch in front of the towering mountains.

The picturesque village of Canazei will be our final destination and here we’ll have the opportunity to try new local specialties and wine. Overnight in Canazei.
