At the end of Sept I completed the “Fantastic Journey” cycling tour with my (now) fiancé. This is the second time I have used Luca and his amazing Road Bike Tours Italy touring outfit. The first time I road with Luca was 5 years ago and he designed a special tour just for me (see my previous review for that tour). Because I had an amazing time with Luca the first time I toured with him, I had to share an Italy bike tour with my girlfriend. The “Fantastic Journey” cycling tour is exactly as the name sounds a truly FANTASTIC JOURNEY. Everything about this journey is amazing. The cycling, the sights, the food, the accommodations and of course the fantastic team of tour operators Luca has put together - our guides Nicola and Marco. The entire team at Road Bike Tours Italy will accommodate your every needs. From last minute booking of an electric bike for my girlfriend (as she broke her foot 2 weeks before the trip) to personal requests Luca assisted me with during the long tenure it took for us to finally complete this “Fantastic Journey”, due to COVID restrictions. Luca is so accommodating, that even with his very busy schedule, he came out to meet up with me to witness my proposal to my girlfriend at the base of the beautiful medieval village of Civita. Once again I cannot thank Luca and his entire team at Road Bike Tours Italy for a truly Fantastic Journey through Tuscany.

Ricci and Luca organized hands down the best road bike tour in Italy for us and went out of their way to ensure we had a phenomenal experience! They were always there for us, super responsive and always keen on ensuring we had the best experience. The experiences - wine tasting, truffle hunting, olive oil tasting were fantastic and the bikes and all other equipment was in excellent condition and they took the time to fit it well to our individual needs. Luca took great pictures for us and I cannot recommend them enough for the personalized experience we got. We will definitely be doing this again in the future.

We had amazing time biking through the roads of Tuscany for three days. Luca and Ricki were amazing guides who made us feel throughly taken care of. Our routes were very well planned, we stayed in good hotels, and ate at very tasty local restaurants.Each day, we biked about 25 miles, and climbed between 17-2500 feet elevation. It was a good challenge, but we did it at a comfortable pace and stopped along the way at various sites such as vineyards, farms, and local towns. We were able to tour sites such Pienza, Montelcino, and Siena. We traveled in a very comfortable van, and rode top quality bicycles that have been individually fitted for us. We couldn’t have asked for more, and are looking forward to our next bike ride through Italy.

Simply amazing and a lifetime experience biking in Tuscany. The vistas, experiences (wine tasting, truffle hunting, olive oil tasting) and the world famous vistas while riding were superb. Thanks to Luca and Richi, who were with us at all times to make it safe, thoroughly enjoyable and very memorable. Richi/Luca went out of the way to make sure everything was perfect. Personally, for me they spent extra time to align my bike shoes to fit perfectly on my bike pedals (thanks much for that extra attention to detail), which made riding a joy. You will see a lot of choices for bike tours in Italy, this tour group will give you the most personalized experience and will work diligently to make it happen.

A spectacular adventure: fun biking trails on routes tailored to our abilities and interests, comfortable hotels, quality restaurants and skillful oversight by Richi & Roberto. The entire trip was a joy, but the attention to detail and the expertise provided throughout was exceptional. Richi and Robi are engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining company - their presence throughout the week added enormously to the pleasure. It was well organized and wonderfully complemented by delightful weather & stunning scenery. The bikes, themselves, were superb quality and there were no mechanical issues - not even a flat tire - during 6 days of riding. I would happily book another trip with Road Bike Tours Italy and unhesitatingly confirm the other complimentary review.

Where to begin!...Luca and Robi took care of us since the first day to the last day of our trip. The food, hotels and the bike tour was EXCELENT! What an incredible bike trip with an incredible company! We biked from Damaso on Lake Como to Canazai North of Venice over a 5-day period, and Richi went above and beyond to make sure our trip was fun and went smoothly. He worked with us to fit our bikes and helmets the day we arrived so we could start on time the next day, and everything went smoothly from start to end on the entire trip. We chose not to have a guide and yet he still checked in with us several times each day at different points along the trail. Our dinners were phenomenal, from the family-owned vineyard to the old flour mill with the waterfall running behind and underneath, and our hotels were mostly family-owned and very accommodating! The scenery was breathtaking and different everyday, from the Alps to the Dolomites, and the apple orchards, castles, and the many churches of Northern Italy. I highly recommend this company. We're talking about potentially doing another trip in the next few years and if so, would use them again!

Roadbike Tours Italy was absolutely the best. The bike route brought us through incredibly beautiful natural scenery and the sweet gems of small towns. They were 100 percent supportive of our group of 6, making sure everyone had a great time. The dinners were all excellent. They were unique and interesting in both location and types of cuisine. Richy knew the areas we visited and was able to give us interesting information on the way. We can't wait to go on another trip with them.

Kathy and I did the Hills, Sea and more tour with Luca and Ricki from Road Bike Tours Italy in May 2018. An amazing experience with exceptional service, attention, support and encouragement from these two great guys. Everything was catered for including the latest Bianchi road bikes, fantastic accommodation and meals and riding through beautiful countryside, Tuscan villages and around Elba Island. Mary and I arrived in Milano not sure whether we would enjoy our week riding with Roadbike Tours Italy, but there was no need to worry. Luca and Michela were perfect riding hosts and ensure we had a marvellous week of riding around the three Lakes. They asked us how we liked to ride and used that information to tailor their tour to our needs and abilities and from there we had seven wonderful days of riding! Great rides and panoramic routes from a Luca, excellent accommodation, wonderful food and drink, brilliant van support from Michela and most importantly two new friends. We got it all from a Luca and Michela and are really looking forward to joining them again for one of their other tours.

My daughter and I were fortunate to have found Road Bike Tours Italy while searching for the perfect bike tour company that could accommodate our needs and desires. Luca and Michela were our fabulous guides during our tour of the Great Alps and we couldn't have been happier! I spent over 6 months searching for the perfect bike tour operator before I found Luca with Roadbike Tours Italy. From the first time contacting Luca I had a great feeling about him. He was very quick to respond to any questions and even sent me updates and photos of what to expect during our ride. I booked a 5 day tour with 2 days in the Alps and 3 days around the lakes finishing my epic journey visiting the Madonna del Ghisallo. Luca is very passionate about his country, cycling and making sure the guest simply gets the VERY BEST EXPERIENCE out of their trip. He guided me through every twist and turn, every hill, every peak and valley to make sure I saw the most beautiful scenery that can be seen on a bicycle. Even after the rides we took little side trips to see other parts of Italy. Both Luca and Michela shared stories of their home town and country and filled me with great information about the history and interesting facts about Italy. Every hotel was perfect, every meal was delicious... this trip could not of been more perfect and Luca and Michela became one of my best friends. Thanks to Luca and Michela they made this trip one of the BEST, emotional, trips I have ever experienced. There is so much more I want to see by bicycle in Italy and I will definitely be calling upon Luca and Michela of Road Bike Tours Italy again. Thanks for EVERYTHING Luca and Michela!

When I booked this tour I could see from the pictures on line that it was going to be pretty outstanding but actually cycling around the three lakes was one of the most amazing things I have ever done! The long hills were a bit of a challenge for me and my husband as we hadn’t ever cycled long ascents before but we really enjoyed doing them and would love to do it again!

We were a family of four on this trip, made up of parents ages 58 and 72 and two adult children; joined by Paul, an energetic 82 year old Australian gentleman who had just come from a week of cycling in Tuscany. Of the five guests I was the only one on a road bike; the others opted for electric bikes. I found two of the days challenging with fairly long and steep climbs, but a breeze if you're on an electric.
